The first leg meeting is scheduled to take place at the San Siro, Milan, Thursday (11/5/2023) at 02.00 WIB.
This match is special for AC Milan because for the first time since 2007 the team nicknamed the Rossoneri have again been able to penetrate the top four of the most elite club competition in Europe.
However, ahead of the Milan Derby, the Rossoneri have to accept bad news regarding one of their stars, Rafael Leao who may not be able to appear in the first leg. The Portuguese winger received a muscle injury when Milan beat Lazio 2-0 last weekend.
Meanwhile, from the visitors' side it is also likely that they will start the match without the Romelu Lukaku striker.
However, it is not for health reasons that Lukaku will not start in the first leg, but for tactical reasons.
Although the Chelsea striker has recently started to find his best form again, several reports suggest that Simone Inzaghi will choose Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez as the spearhead of his team, while Lukaku will start the match on the bench and is likely to come on in the second half.
Inzaghi may want to maintain the attacking duo of Martinez and Dzeko because this combination has proven vital in the last two meetings against Milan.
